Nil Gimeno claims his first professional victory

Nil Gimeno earned the first professional victory of his career on stage 7 of Le Tour de Langkawi. The Equipo Kern Pharma rider used the breakaway and timed his move perfectly on the road from Melaka to Batu Pahat to deny the sprinters.

The result rewards the 24-year-old Spaniard and gives Kern Pharma an important victory in Malaysia. Lennart Jasch retained the overall lead ahead of the final stage.
