Gasparrini surges to victory on the final ramp in Varese

Eleonora Gasparrini won the 2026 Tre Valli Varesine Women's Race after a dramatic final catch on the uphill finish. The UAE Team L'IMAD rider beat Sarah Van Dam and Noemi Rüegg at the end of the 133.9-kilometre race from Busto Arsizio to Varese, earning her first victory of the season.

Karlijn Swinkels and Nikola Nosková had escaped from a larger move in the final 30 kilometres and appeared capable of contesting the win. Their advantage disappeared on the last climb, however, as the chase caught them only a few hundred metres from the line.

Silvia Persico guided Gasparrini into position before the Italian accelerated past her rivals. Van Dam and Rüegg completed the podium, while Kate Courtney and Malou Eisen finished fourth and fifth with the same time as the winner.
