The UCI Gravel World Championships reach a new continent this weekend. Nannup, in Western Australia, hosts the event on 10 and 11 October, the first edition outside Europe since the championships began in 2022.

The elite women's race occupies Saturday's programme, over 125.6 kilometres with 3,179 metres of climbing. The elite men race on Sunday over 144 kilometres and 3,713 metres of climbing. According to the UCI, gravel accounts for 84% and 85% of the respective courses, with both starting and finishing in Nannup.

Short climbs and changing surfaces through the Blackwood Valley will test endurance and bike handling. Reigning men's champion Florian Vermeersch heads into Sunday's title defence against a field including Connor Swift, Mads Würtz Schmidt and Keegan Swenson. The weekend also includes racing across amateur age categories.
