Vos wins her second Gravel Worlds and 15th world title

Marianne Vos won the elite women’s race at the UCI Gravel World Championships in Nannup, Western Australia, on 10 October. The Dutch rider finished the 125.6 kilometres in 4:30:04, taking her second gravel world title and her 15th world championship across cycling disciplines.
Rosa Maria Klöser was her closest rival in the finale. Vos attacked on a muddy section, and the German crashed in a slippery corner while chasing. Klöser recovered to secure silver, 27 seconds behind; Larissa Hartog took bronze at 2:15.
The title concludes a demanding race in the first Gravel Worlds held outside Europe. Tiffany Cromwell animated her final professional race with attacks before finishing eighth. The elite men race in Nannup on Sunday 11 October.
